More Than Just a Pit Stop: "The Great American Toilet Tour" Celebrates Public

Catonsville, Maryland, USA – June 6, 2025 – This summer, the American Restroom

Association (ARA) launches The Great American Toilet Tour: A Public Restroom Road Trip, a

nationwide initiative to promote restroom access and dignity for all.

From July 1 to July 30, 2025, ARA Program Manager, Candace Blue, will drive 7,000 miles across

20 states, spotlighting cities and towns with outstanding public restrooms while creating

awareness about America’s need for a safe, private, clean restroom infrastructure. Along for the

ride is Snoopy Poopy, the ARA’s canine mascot and education ambassador.

The tour aims to:

● Showcase public restrooms that support community, health, inclusiveness, and dignity.

● Raise awareness of restroom access needs for travelers, families, and those with

medical conditions.

● Empower citizens and local leaders to advocate for high-quality public restroom

infrastructure starting in their local community.

“As we say at the ARA, community always begins with a bathroom,” said Program Manager,

Candace Blue. “Restrooms are about dignity, respect, and our common humanity.”

Snoopy Poopy will present kid-friendly content along the way, with interviews and stops featured

on the ARA’s YouTube and social media platforms. The tour will visit: AL, AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, ID, IL, IN, KS, LA, MI, MS, MO, NV, NM, OH, TN, TX, and UT.

“Good public restroom infrastructure is a sign of a well-functioning society,” said Dr.

Steven Soifer, LCSW and ARA Co-founder. “No one should suffer from what we call

restroom duress.”
